Arnotts Tim Tam Review

Hello everyone! Today I will be reviewing the sugary sweet, Arnotts Tim Tam. The one and only original flavor.

The basics: Arnotts Tim Tam originates from Australia, however they are now able to be purchased in the United States at Target, for about three dollars a pack. Currently, the original and caramel flavors are sold.

Deceivingly sweet and melts in your mouth. A secret candy bar.
To say that I had high expectations is an understatement. For years, I have seen dozens of rave and praise on youtube and blogs all around.  For years, I salivated and dreamt about holding these in my hands. Of course, back then I was obsessed with all things chocolate and sweet.  I am older now and my sweet tooth is not as strong.

Tim Tams are said to taste exactly like a candy bar, except it is a cookie.

I am delightfully amazed that these cookies, do indeed, taste like candy bars.  They remind me a tad bit of the milky way candy bar, mostly because of the soft center. Of course, I can be completely off the chart with this comparison, as nowadays I don't eat too much chocolate, however the taste does stir up some nostalgic memory for me.

Tim Tams consist of two biscuits/wafers coated with chocolate, and squished between them: a nice  chocolate filling.  The main difference between a Tim Tam, and a regular chocolate candy bar is how smooth it is.  Every bite delivers a nice crunch, without any sort of chewiness or tough bite to it.

Now the filling. The most delightful part.  The chocolate inside the bar melts in your mouth in a good feel type of way. I'm not sure if it leans more on the fudge or milk chocolate side, but it has the consistency of a cream.  I can see why people love pairing this with a nice hot beverage on the side.

Dunk this in a glass of milk, or a cup of coffee and you'll probably get your daily dose of sugar for the day.

Personally, the only downside were how insanely sugary these tasted. I am only able to consume on bar per day.  I don't think I will buy these frequently due to this reason, but I would as a treat or a reward.

Note: I got this for free as a bzzagent, all opinions are my own.

Love with Food- May 2013 Review

Hello Everyone! I'm back, and officially a graduate of College with my Associate degree in Humanities and Social Sciences for Psychology (: Yay! I am now free to catch up and review everything!

With that said, here is my review of the Love with Food May Box!

                                                  Theme: Happy Mother's Day!
Love with Food- May Box!
Replacement Box I received. Only difference: Blueberry Almond Crunch.

Items in box:

May's Mystery Item  by Mrs. May's Naturals - Got it in the Coconut Almond Flavor & Blueberry Almond
My opinion:  These are fantastic! Great on Yogurt, or to simply munch on as it is.  They are almost like granola- pretty yummy. Do note that the are not too sweet, and hold a nutty aftertaste.

•Authentic Almond Biscotti  by Biscotti Bari
My opinion: My mother and my friend think these are the best. I have to say, I agree! The Almond flavor gives it a nice and comforting taste.  Great with a hot cup of coffee (or tea).

•All-Natural Strawberry Preserves  by Bonne Maman
My opinion: Received this in a Goodies Company Box, and still have not tried it.  I'm assuming it's like jam, so it'll most likely will taste good. Hopefully.  I admit, I am a bit tempted to try this in vanilla yogurt- Yikes!

•Hand Drip Single-Origin Coffee  by Caffe Borsa
My opinion: Is it possible to adore coffee? I am a HUGE fan of coffee, and I knew, the instant I saw this, that I would just immediately fall in love with it. Mmm. More please? (:

•Latte Candy  by Bali's Best
My opinion: Pretty good! They have a nice creamy milky filling in the center, whereas the outer candy part gives it the coffee taste- a true latte flavoring in the making. Not something I would have constantly, for I prefer drinking my coffee, than eating it!

• "Great Full" Vegan Sweet Potato Cookie  by The Cookie Department
My opinion: Whoa. Just Whoa.  This is amazing and super yummy!! This tastes like an oatmeal cookie with tiny pieces of cranberries in it. The cookie is soft, while the cranberry gives it a chewy taste.  Very Filling- and very much recommended.

•Original Cajun Seasoning Blend  by Slap Ya Mama
My opinion: I LOVE spicy seasoning! This reminds me of the Creole Seasoning I received in a Crave box- was simply magnificent. It tastes amazing mixed into rice, soups (Mmm! Especially in chicken flavored soup), and meats!

•Tomato Crunch  by Snapz Crisps
My opinion:   Have not tried these. This is the only item in the box that I'm hesitating on trying.  I'm not a fan of tomatoes, and I don't really enjoy dried out food. Heard it tastes good in a sandwich or salad, so we'll see!

Overall, I LOVED this Month's box!! Chances are, I will try to stick with them again for next month (My birthday month). Here's hoping it'll be a good one as well!
