Arnotts Tim Tam Review

Hello everyone! Today I will be reviewing the sugary sweet, Arnotts Tim Tam. The one and only original flavor.

The basics: Arnotts Tim Tam originates from Australia, however they are now able to be purchased in the United States at Target, for about three dollars a pack. Currently, the original and caramel flavors are sold.

Deceivingly sweet and melts in your mouth. A secret candy bar.
To say that I had high expectations is an understatement. For years, I have seen dozens of rave and praise on youtube and blogs all around.  For years, I salivated and dreamt about holding these in my hands. Of course, back then I was obsessed with all things chocolate and sweet.  I am older now and my sweet tooth is not as strong.

Tim Tams are said to taste exactly like a candy bar, except it is a cookie.

I am delightfully amazed that these cookies, do indeed, taste like candy bars.  They remind me a tad bit of the milky way candy bar, mostly because of the soft center. Of course, I can be completely off the chart with this comparison, as nowadays I don't eat too much chocolate, however the taste does stir up some nostalgic memory for me.

Tim Tams consist of two biscuits/wafers coated with chocolate, and squished between them: a nice  chocolate filling.  The main difference between a Tim Tam, and a regular chocolate candy bar is how smooth it is.  Every bite delivers a nice crunch, without any sort of chewiness or tough bite to it.

Now the filling. The most delightful part.  The chocolate inside the bar melts in your mouth in a good feel type of way. I'm not sure if it leans more on the fudge or milk chocolate side, but it has the consistency of a cream.  I can see why people love pairing this with a nice hot beverage on the side.

Dunk this in a glass of milk, or a cup of coffee and you'll probably get your daily dose of sugar for the day.

Personally, the only downside were how insanely sugary these tasted. I am only able to consume on bar per day.  I don't think I will buy these frequently due to this reason, but I would as a treat or a reward.

Note: I got this for free as a bzzagent, all opinions are my own.

Love with Food- March 2013 Review (Finally!)

Hello everyone! I wasn't able to get the June Love with Food Box, unfortunately, so I decided to finally get to review this- yay! I have to admit, this box looked pretty amazing- not sure how I managed to not devour everything immediately.

 Theme: Classics with a Twist

Contents in the box:

Dark Chocolate Orange Good Fortune Cookie from Emily's Chocolates
My opinion: Have not touched this at all.  Perhaps one day. One long and curious day. I probably will not enjoy this since I don't like my chocolate tasting fruity.

Granola from Ola! Foods
My opinion: One word: Yum! These remind me of oatmeal or oats.  Great with yogurt, or just simply eaten on its own.  Great treat! Sadly, this was gone so fast that I ended up craving more. A must have!

Chocolate Covered Wasabi Peas from Chocwasabi
My opinion: I was scared of these when I first saw it. Recently got to try it...and well, not a fan! The chocolate part is pretty good, however, once you bite into the wasabi part, a slight tingly feeling spreads onto your tongue and gums.  Other than that, the taste is pretty bland.

Fruit & Veggie Juice from Kids 50
My opinion: Tasted like the Gerber Carrot & Apple Juice. Not a very pleasant taste. However, this was a big hit towards my friend's son. So that's a plus!

Salted Caramel Baked Corn from Cosmos Creations
My opinion: This was one of my first sought out items in the box. Even now, I'm still confused as to what I was tasting.  It tastes extremely salty, with a burnt caramel taste.  The texture is soft and is made of puffed corn.  It's not bad, but neither is it the best.  I kind of was expecting something like Caramel Popcorn- like Cracker Jacks. Try not to eat these all in one go.

Green Tea Infuser from Revolution Tea
My opinion: Ehh..I don't like tea. Especially Green Tea.  This was given to my tea lovin friend.

Wholesome Snacks from Mary's Gone Crackers
My opinion: Gross. Simply Gross. There is no flavor, other than a burnt aftertaste. It tastes a bit like cardboard- if cardboard was edible!

Wild Berry Flat Fruit from Wacky Apple
My opinion: I loved these! They are a healthier version akin to Fruit Rollups.  They are not too chewy, and are not overly sweet.  A berry taste is most noticeable after chewing around a bit.

Overall: This box was packed full, however the items weren't the best tasting.  There were some favorites, and some hated, but it was worth it. (Especially since I receive most of my boxes with discount codes- yay!).

Graze Box 5 Review- A nature/healthy snacks weekly subscription box!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to another Jaqtastic Review! Today, I will be reviewing my fifth Graze Nibbler Box. Surprisingly, I didn't rush into it as the first few. In either case, this was another 50/50 box. Oh and, this will be my last box I'll be getting till Mid March. (:

What was inside:
Tutti frutti
blueberry infused cranberries, pineapple, cherry infused raisins and green raisins

My Opinion:
My favorite item in the box!! The pineapples, though dried, had the most intense and sweet flavor ever.  The raisins were pretty awesome too. Yum! Will keep this in my Love List.

Cookies and cream
mini chocolate cookies, roasted hazels, white chocolate buttons and sunflower seeds
My Opinion: The chocolate cookies and chocolate buttons were the highlight of this snack. Scrumptious.  The Roasted Hazels were horrible and bland, where as the sunflower seeds were just nasty.  I'll keep this as a like only.

My thai
sweet chili sauce with baked soy bites
My Opinion:
I'm scared of trying these. I gave some to my moms boyfriend, and he described it as: Sweet and Sour.  Um. The smell alone goes along with his words- and let me tell you, it was NOT a pleasant smell. It kind of has a strong garlic and sour note. Hmm.. Prob will not like these, but will try them. Will keep them in my Try list.

Olive and rosemary bruschetta
mini tomato breadsticks, rosemary and garlic cashews and kalamata olive croutons
My Opinion: Uh. I'm not too sure about this one.  The tomato breadsticks were average, but were the best tasting item in this section.  The garlic cashews and olive croutons were horrible.  Especially the olive croutons- HATE olives, so bleh.  Gave these to my mom, and she loved these.  Will keep this in my try list.  On the plus side: My cat tried eating these. She shoved her head into it, grabbed a few, and rubbed her face and tongue on it. STOP IT TEDDY.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, this was an okay box. I didn't hate nor love it.  Again, I will be putting  this on hold till Mid March due to all the food boxes I have received and have neither tasted nor review (Love with Food boxes and about 2-3 boxes of Goodies Co). So you can expect those to be the next reviews (:

P.S: Be sure to follow me on all my social media- I love to meet new people! (:

Graze Box 3 Review- A nature/healthy snacks weekly subscription box!

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Jaqtastic review! I will be reviewing my third Graze Nibbler box- this one was a 50/50 for me.
Here is a link to what my box consisted of: https://www.graze.com/us/b/4LXBW

What was inside:

Sticky chocolate pudding
milk chocolate drops, jumbo raisins and green raisins
My Opinion: This will stay on my LOVE list. The chocolate was good as always, and the raisins were good (green raisins had a more stronger taste). If you take two pieces of the chocolate, with a few pieces of raisin, the tastes made a perfect pairing. Yummy.

Eleanor's apple crumble
raisins, cinnamon and honey almonds and apple
My Opinion: I HATE ALMONDS. Ugh. The apple was horrible too- soaked up too much of the cinnamon and honey flavor from the almonds. Only good thing was the raisins. My mother enjoyed these those. Will keep this in the try list.

Herby bread basket
mini garlic croutons, mini basil breadsticks and oregano rice crackers
My Opinion: The mini garlic coutons and mini basil breadsticks were pretty good. The garlic wasn't too strong, but boy, the basil sticks packed a strong punch. The basil is very strong in that one. The Oregano rice crackers were horrible- I couldn't force it down, so I gave these to my mother. This will stay on my LIKE list because overall it was an okay snack.

Apple and cinnamon flapjack
rustic rolled oat flapjack with apple and cinnamon
My Opinion: Mmm, this was pretty good. It was soft, and chewy, and tasted like someone just handed me a fresh bowl of oatmeal. Such oaty goodness! Neither flavor was overpowering, so that was nice. I admit, at first I was weary of trying this cause I don't tend to like apple and cinnamon pairings...but this did it right. This will stay in my LIKE list.

Here is the nutritional card.
