Now that you know what it is, on to the review! (;

I never tried this before, but I kept an opened mind and hyped myself into believing this would be the most amazing snack ever. Big mistake.

I managed to break the bag open after struggling with it for 10 minutes. Once again, I am left disappointed by the air and chip ratio. Sigh. A strong whiff of a fresh garden of vegetables hit me. I didn't smell any note of Cinnamon. Hm. I thought perhaps I wasn't close enough to the bag, and so, I shoved my face into it, in hopes of smelling the delicious cinnamon. Second Mistake.

My face automatically cringed. Uuh, now THAT is NOT a pleasant smell. I still have NO idea what gave it such a strong sour note.

The chip itself is super hard, and brownish in coloring. I guess the cinnamon? The chip is crunchy and crackles nicely under the pressure of your teeth. A weird strong apple flavor is present, however I don't taste the cinnamon. Perhaps that strange taste that hits me afterwards is it? Who knows. Did NOT like this product at all. neither did my brother. My mom loved these so it didn't go to waste.

Overall: Personally, this was the worst item in Decembers Goodies box.

Love with Food Jan Box- Plantain Chips Review

Plantain Chips by Turbana.

Hello Everyone! So, this was one of the items that I received for the Love with Food- January Box (Theme: International Delights). Growing up as a child, I had plantains as snacks and as part of a main dish. It's truly amazing how different it can taste depending on how you make it. I was excited to try this out!

More air than actual chips- very disappointing.

Mmm! Are mouths drooling yet? Because mines just did.

The Plantain Chips taste like any other plantain chip out there. Nothing too unique or exciting about these. However, I still found it delicious. Personally, I wished it was a bit more salted, but I have seen that many have said it was salted enough. Darn my salty cravings! (Time of month, maybe?).

Oh. Oh my. Okay. So these are VERY ADDICTING despite how common the taste is. The chips are crisp and crunchy, and the salty flavor seems to rush into your mouth as you chew the plantain around. Needless to say, it was hard to put down the whole bag! These will make a great alternative to potato based chips. Overall, I do recommend these, and most definitely will be on the look out to buy these.

Good news though, I have a referral code you can use to get your FIRST MONTH FREE. :D Great way to see if it suits your fancy.

Referral code: 5YNN5YM
Or, if you would rather have it in link form: Promo Code Link

Edit: I apologize if people don't like referral codes. But at the moment, this is the only way to get invited. I hope everyone understands. (:

December Goodies Co + January Love with Food

Hello everyone! So I finally decided to take pictures of the two food boxes I received, a few weeks back, while I was in New Jersey. Do note, I have NOT tried anything yet, however I probably will share these with family as to speed up the process. Enjoy (:

Subscription: Goodies Co. - December Box
Theme: Naughty or Nice
Price: $7 a month
Link: Goodies Co Linkage

Items in December Taster Box 2
* Sun Cups - Dark Chocolate Mint Cups
* Sun Cups - Sunflower Butter Milk Chocolate Cups
* EatSmart Naturals - Veggie Chips
* Effie's Homemade - Oat Cakes
* Rocky Mountain Popcorn - Cinnamon Sugar
* World Table - Mint Chocolate Cookie Thins
* Bare Fruit - Cinnamon Apple Chips
My initial impression: Great, I happen to get the mint vs cinnamon combo. Not a huge fan of mint, especially when paired with chocolate. I like chocolate to be...well just chocolate. On the other hand, I am a fan of cinnamon, however I am kind of skeptical of how Cinnamon sugar popcorn will taste like. I have never tried apple chips before. For $7 this is another awesome box! ((:

Subscription: Love with Food - January Box
Theme: International Delights
Price: $10 + $2 shipping a month
Link: Love with food Linkage

Items in the Love with Food January Box
* Almond Anise Bisotti
* Plantain Chips
* Firecracker Chocopod
* Gluten Free Shortbread Tea cookies (3 pieces)
* AppleStrawberry Applesauce
* Tiger Spice Chai
* Cinnamon Milk Chocolate
* Belgian Biscuit Dark Chocolate
My initial impression: Uh, well, small cringe moment. Not the best of boxes from Love with food, and most of the samples were super small. The Cinnamon and Belgian chocolates are far too small to even be called a sample. Overall, not too excited about this box, however can't wait to try the Plantain Chips! Used to eat them when I was a child- yum.

So, there you have it! Love with Food (January) and Goodies Co (December) Boxes! Will review each box fully when I get to try them out. (:

East West Market Haul + Goodies Co + Love with food- Reviews soon.

(Multiples were not included in the photo)
Place: East West Market in NJ
Total spent: $40

Hello Everyone! So for the past week and a half, I have been staying in New Jersey. My cousin and I found this amazing Asian market place here that sells all sorts of things- from bakery items to drinks, to seafood, to cooking ware! We decided to buy a few things to satisfy our curiosity and craving bellies. A limit of 25$ each was placed because from experience from back at home, many asian snacks were way expensive. However, we were surprised by how much we got. We didn't even reach the limit of ours, and instead spent 20-21$ each. Sweet! The picture above is what we managed to get all together, multiples not included in photo.

Expect a review of these items on my tumblr, SweetiexTreaties (:

P.S. While in NJ, I received my Goodies Co December Tasters Box back at home- can't wait to review that, as well as the Love with Food boxes! (And the previous Goodies Box-yumm). Expect a review on any subscription boxes here, on Jaqtastic Reviews.
